In this ocasion, I want to bring you the free crochet pattern and tutorial of this beautiful cardigan that I made for my little princess: my daughter Constanza. It’s a very simple pattern that begins with a yoke which is then divided in front, sleeves and back. The back and front are continued working on a stage and the sleeves in another.
I hope that the tutorial make it easier for beginners to understand how to work in crochet when we start with a yoke. It is specially thought for them, who often manage to crochet the yoke, but then find it difficult the division in the different parts.
To increase or decrease the size, you only have to change the number of chains of the yoke, always respecting the proportions of the original model.

Love your pattern, how many chains must I make for a 7-8 year old girl?

If you use the same material as the pattern or similar, for size 7-8 years you would have to start with 69 (66 +3 that counts as the first double crochet) chains and crochet 12 rows (3 more than in the pattern ). The last row does not have increases. Then continue crocheting as shown in the pattern.

I was trying to make this cardigan for a 5year old girl and I just added on 4 more chains to the 61 you had
